How a Wedding in Italy became ‘The Last Supper’.

Hi, my name is Al and I love photographing weddings.

Why do I shoot weddings when I primarily shoot fashion and editorial?

That’s easy, because weddings are fun and because I enjoy running round and capturing the little details that make the day so special.

A couple of weeks ago I flew to Italy to shoot a wedding ; The city of Verona treated me to good food, good wine, lots of sunlight and great views ! Pretty much the perfect place to have a wedding.
Somewhere in between desert being served and the first dance, there was a lull in the action and a moment of inspiration. Thanks to my friend, and bridesmaid, Maria Domican (who has an awesome vintage and style blog here ) we hit upon the idea of staging and ode to Da Vinci’s ‘The Last Supper’. Who can blame us, we were in Italy after all.

The shoot took about 5 minutes to do, including getting everyone in position and me taking the shots. I’m pleased to say the bride was incredibly pleased when we sent her the final image today!
