It is always a thrill to be asked to shoot lookbooks; The client (the designer usually) always have a strong starting point for the message they want to get across and it is fun to see how the project grows into the final set of images.
British brand Deetz approached me to shoot their first collection and explained that the final work would be a mixture of photography and hand drawn illustration, and I was hooked.
At the studio we had assistant Jamie, the studio manager and the brains behind Deets (Amy Currie and Lauren Milligan) with us to act as the art directors and approve the images. We had the pleasure of our model being Vanessa Jobb at Premier, who was easy to work with despite the room being freezing cold at the start of the day!
Below are a couple of behind the scenes images from the shoot, the full lookbook and collection can be found at www.deetz.co.uk
